Suggestions for themes and the format for Oxjam10 have been coming in, following the call out to supporters for content and structure. This is our event so if you have an idea and are convinced that it’s a fit with what Oxjam10 is all about then get in touch. Oxjam10 is about shaping the event together – so get involved…
So far supporters of Oxjam10 have come forward and proposed the following themes:
- A support sector skills swap
- Environmental enterprises
Proposers, in both cases, have come forward suggesting clear structures and benefits from running these themes and offering to lead the development of each. They’ll be working up structure and content over the next few weeks.
Other themes proposed but where lead, focus and content is yet to become clear are:
- Asset based development
- Social finance / Impact investing
- Education
- “Recession busting”
- “No more heroes?” (the proposal that the time for hero social entrepreneurs has passed)
- Measuring impact
- An academic exchange.
Additional, replacement or refining of these themes can be proposed by anyone. We’d love to hear your ideas about the themes: – how you might benefit and how you might contribute. We are also keen to hear from people who can make the case to develop and lead one of the above themes, or suggest a new one.
Final themes will need to be confirmed at some point in February. Final confirmation of themes needs to wait until Skoll publish their programme to ensure Oxjam10 compliments the Forum.
